Hi, Friend

Would you provide more details? "hard to open" means "cannot be opened" or "there is some error message when you opend AVI and FLV"?

I think it is the same problem as rmvb. When you click the file,
it shows the loading and then it is done without playing and without any error message.

Dear Customer,

Thanks for choosing MeLE X1000 4K.
X1000 4K can't support avi with Divx encoding. You can use Kodi to play these files.
Enter into Kodi, select your avi -> Press menu button->Select play using->Select DVD player, then you can play these files by Kodi's media player.

Is this a hardware issue or firmware iusse?
You mean Realtek 1195 can not hard decode the AVI format? But why Himedia Q5 quad and Realtel 1183 machine has no problem to play the file with almost all kinds of format?

Dear Customer,
Thanks for choosing MeLE X1000 4K.
It's neither hardware issue nor firmware issue. X1000 4K own the ability of hardware decoding.Due to the license issue, X1000 4K must disable the hardware decoding of these videos. The product which you mentioned may run the risk of license missing.

Dear Friends,
RTK1195 can't support AVI with Divx encoding and FLV with VP6 encoding.
All products based on RTK1195 are the same.

Thanks for your support.
